Attention all Magic: The Gathering fans!
We are excited to announce the latest update to your favorite tournament series. We have received the green light to host our tournament series at the Fletcher Hotel Nieuwegein over the weekend of April 29th-30th. We encourage you to finalize your plans and possibly book a room at the hotel (mention that you’re attending the DOS for a discount).
We have taken into consideration all of your feedback in our planning and have come up with the following schedule for the tournament:
Saturday, April 29th:
10:00 am Sealed – €60.00
11:00 am Modern – €40.00
Sunday, April 30th:
10:00 am Legacy – €40.00 (Please note that for our first event, we have decided not to allow proxies. This is something we are considering for future events)
11:00 am Pioneer – €40.00
The winner of each event will qualify for the Player Championships, and more information will be provided in the future.
We would like to give a big shout-out to our sponsor, ULTRA PRO! They have been fantastic and have allowed us to give away custom-made DOS playmats to every participant. They are also providing us with plenty of goodies for our prize wall.
That’s right, a PRIZE WALL! Although we haven’t finalized everything yet, those who do well in our tournaments will be rewarded with DOS prize tickets that can be redeemed for awesome prizes, including high-end staples from GOAT enterprise stock, booster packs, and Ultra Pro products.
Dustin de Leeuw has been contracted as our judge manager, so our awesome judge staff will be ready to provide a smooth event!
Behind the scenes, we have been working hard on a new website, which we expect to go live within the next two weeks. Although it will be a work in progress, we are excited to share it with you soon.
Ticket sales will start on March 1st. We would greatly appreciate it if you could buy your ticket as early as possible to help us plan for the number of players we can expect. We’re capping the event at 200 players a day, so booking early also ensures your spot!
Lastly, there will be an opportunity for local stores to host qualifiers where you can win a bye and free entry to an event of your choice. If you’re interested, let your local store know.
